Proverbs 18:21 tells us that death and life, blessing and cursing, are in the power of our tongue. It’s simple. You can have what you say. God has given man an ability to speak and with that ability comes great power and consequence. Renewing The Mind
Ephesians 4:23 states that you and I should be renewed in the spirit of our mind. Why does our mind need to be continually renewed to the things of God? Because the mind is part of our soul which is left unregenerate when we were born again.
Man is a three part being. He has a spirit which gives life to his flesh which contains a soul. When we are born again, the Spirit of God quickens our spirit with the Holy Ghost. Our soul and flesh which are sold under sin remain in their unregenerate state. It is then our responsibility to yield to the Holy Ghost and let Him subdue our flesh and soul. (more…)

Redeemed From The Curse of the Law
Galatians 3:13 informs us that we are redeemed from the curse of the law. The Greek word translated redeemed is exagoridzo. The prefix ex means out, and the root word agoridzo is used in classical Greek of the slave market.
When we take all of this in, we see that you and I are bought out of the slave market of sin. Jesus actually paid the price on the cross for you and I to be free. Paul writes again in 1st Corinthians 6:20 that we were bought with a price. Therefore giving us two witnesses from the word of God that the price for redemption is paid in full. (more…)
