Intentional Christianity.
Intentional Christianity is a reordering of our life around the mission of Christ. It has little to do about buildings and programs and much to do about the Kingdom. It is a selfless way to live; a simpler way to live.
So much of modern Christianity is about what Abba can do for us. We laud the fact that Jesus paid the price for the good life, but we fail to see that the victory won is for the simple purpose of showing Jesus to those who do not know Him.
The Wilderness
Dave Roever stopped in the middle of his message and said, I don’t know who this is for, but if it isn’t worth dying for then it’s not worth living for.” I knew who it was for. It was for me.
Earlier that morning during worship, I had knelt and told the Lord, “This isn’t worth dying for.” Let me explain. (more…)
Renewing The Mind
Ephesians 4:23 states that you and I should be renewed in the spirit of our mind. Why does our mind need to be continually renewed to the things of God? Because the mind is part of our soul which is left unregenerate when we were born again.
Man is a three part being. He has a spirit which gives life to his flesh which contains a soul. When we are born again, the Spirit of God quickens our spirit with the Holy Ghost. Our soul and flesh which are sold under sin remain in their unregenerate state. It is then our responsibility to yield to the Holy Ghost and let Him subdue our flesh and soul. (more…)
